The Greater Vallejo Park, Recreation, & Open Space Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, incorporated in 1994, specifically to initiate, sponsor, promote, and carry out plans, programs, policies, and activities that further the park and recreation objectives of the Greater Vallejo Recreation District and to solicit, receive, administer and disburse funds for the accomplishment of those purposes.

Connecting Families to Food and Community Resources
The Greater Vallejo Recreation District (GVRD) is committed to helping our community stay connected to essential resources during this challenging time. With the recent freeze in SNAP and similar assistance programs, many families are experiencing added hardship. To support those in need, GVRD has compiled a list of local food distributions and community organizations offering assistance. Families and individuals can also access Temporary SNAP Relief, which provides up to 20 pounds of FREE fresh produce—please choose one location and distribution day.
