The Greater Vallejo Park, Recreation, & Open Space Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, incorporated in 1994, specifically to initiate,  sponsor, promote, and carry out plans, programs, policies, and activities that further the park and recreation objectives of the Greater Vallejo Recreation District and to solicit, receive, administer and disburse funds for the accomplishment of those purposes.

Thanks to donations to the foundation, GVRD has been able to offer free community programs such as Thanksgiving Meal Kit Giveaways, Holiday Toy Giveaways, Shakespeare in the Park, Movie Nights, and more!
