At its April 1, 2026, special meeting, the Board of Directors selected Pamela Sloan to serve as the District’s Interim General Manager, starting April 20, 2026. Ms. Sloan previously worked in parks and recreation in Kansas City, Missouri, holding a series of management roles. More recently, Ms. Sloan held the positions of Director of Parks and Recreation (2004-08) and then Director of Community Services (2008-11) in the City of Stockton, California. Ms. Sloan has also previously served as an Interim Parks and Recreation Director in both Sacramento and Monterey.
